Toledo man booked for Centralia burglary

A Toledo man has been arrested for burglary after unlawfully entering a storage unit in Centralia Thursday, according to the Centralia Police Department.

Joshua J. Williams, 34, had been contacted on the 1100 block of Brotherson Rd. just after midnight and was found attempting to steal property from storage units at the location, according to reports.

He was then booked into the Lewis County Jail for burglary, second degree.

Toledo allegedly throws beer bottle at truck

A Toledo man was booked for throwing a beer bottle at a moving vehicle in the Vader area Sunday, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

Brian K. Vanhoof, 44, had been on the 1600 block of Winlock/Vader Rd., north of Vader, when he allegedly threw a glass beer bottle at a passing dodge pickup, striking the windshield. The victim, a 48-year-old Vader woman, contacted authorities, who determined Vanhoof’s involvement and booked him into the Lewis County Jail for malicious mischief, second degree.

The estimated damage to the vehicle is around $1,000.

Toledo man referred for destructive DUI

A Toledo man has been referred for a DUI charge after injuring himself in a collision Sunday, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

Kameron D. Williams, 22, had been traveling on the 300 block of Cedar Creed Rd., east of Toledo, when he struck a utility pole and totaled his 1999 Nissan 2SX while sustaining facial injuries and possible head trauma himself.

Williams reportedly admitted to responders he had been drinking and was referred for a charge of DUI while investigators await the results of a toxicology test. Williams was then transported to Providence Centralia Hospital due to his injuries.

Authorities looking for help in Toledo theft

Authorities are still seeking help regarding a Winlock area burglary taking place last month, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

On Jan. 13, it was reported by the 49-year-old victim someone had broken into an outbuilding 100 block of Allman Rd., south of Winlock, sometime between 4:30 and 10:30 a.m. and stole a Matthews model Q2XL compound bow and a Reflex brand bow. The estimated loss is $700. Those with information may reference case number 14C477.
