Driver flees scene of Winlock collision

Investigators are looking for the driver of a pickup left abandoned after a collision near Winlock on Feb. 9, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of N. Military Rd., east of Winlock, to reports of a Chevrolet pickup found in the undergrowth on the side of the road, which presumably failed to make the corner and drove off the road. It is unknown at this time when the collision occurred, as the driver had fled the scene and there were no witnesses, and deputies stated they have yet to contact the registered owner.
