Lions hosting second-hand sale

This Saturday, the Winlock Lions Club will he hosting a second-hand sale at the Community Building and vendor spaces are now available.

Area residents are encouraged to bring their gently-used items, including clothing, furniture, electronics, toys, books, DVDs, or anything second-hand items feel like parting with for a reasonable price, and reserve a booth for the event. Spaces are expected to go quickly, so sign up while they are still available.

Tickets on sale for Variety Show

Ryderwood will be hosting their 6th annual Variety Show on Sunday, Sept. 14, and tickets are on sale now.

Among the acts featured this year will be "Sweet Swing!, an a cappella trio performing '40s hits and portraying the era-changing roles of women during the WWII years. Tickets are on sale for $8 in advance or $10 at the door. To place an order, or for more information, call Barb at (360) 903-0591.

Women's Club hosting piano performance

The Castle Rock Women's Club will be hosting a musical performance at their clubhouse this coming Sunday by pianist and missionary Dr. Jim Odgen.

Scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., this performance is free and open to the public and will include refreshments for the audience. The club will also be taking donations of used eyeglasses for Dr. Ogden's out-of-country eye care missions.

Ryderwood Craft Fair coming up

Save the Date! In just a matter of weeks, Ryderwood will be holding their 10th annual Arts and Crafts Fair on Oct. 17 and 18.

With vendors from around the region, and new craftspeople added each year, this gathering has grown into a full-fledged festival, with more events in the works for this year to include a Quilt Show at Pioneer Hall, Live Music at the Cafe, and a "Cruisin'" Car show up and down the "Main Drag." On top of all that, there will be door prizes, lunch fare in Community Hall, and the "nearly world famous" bake sale.
