As Spring approaches (March 20) this year, and you just want to get out to enjoy the day early, don’t forget to stop in for competitive coffee prices, and find the Town Crier at most of these spots:
UPTOWN at the McDonald’s, 24/7 for night owls, along with Burger King offering its drive thru 24/7.
DOWNTOWN early birds will find C&C Minimart offering gas and it’s competitive fare at 4 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 5 a.m. for early risers on Saturday, and 6 a.m. on Sunday. Also make note that C&C is open 365 days a year, and closes at 10 p.m. each evening, but gas is available 24/7 at the pump.
The Castle Rock Coffee drive thru next to City Hall opens at 6 a.m. each day and our Bakery rounds out our early bird coffee spots with special baked goods for the Downtowners. A short walk or drive west from downtown takes you to the Four Corners area, where Link’s Deli on Westside Highway offers breakfast goodies along with gas. Opening at 5 a.m. with a place to sit and read our paper, or take a stroll to the Boat Launch and watch the action as you refresh.

For those in need, don’t forget our local Food Bank in the lower level of the Eagles Building on Huntington Ave., which is open from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. each Thursday. Access is behind the building. Among the food items are donations from the local Bakery and Cascade Select Market.
PET FRIENDLY: Bredfield’s TruValue Hardware, is the spot to take your pet and find an assortment of animal fare, too, so let your pet pick out a treat, while you shop for your hardware needs. Also, don’t forget Castle Rock Building Supply, which offers fresh popcorn and coffee, as you shop for your building needs.
When you are finished shopping CR, take time to visit the Quilt Show featured at the Exhibit Hall until Feb. 28, and $1 buys a chance to win one of three lovely Quilts that are on display. Winter Hours are Wednesday thru Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The SENIOR CENTER is offering their famous Baked Potatoes on Feb. 25 and 28, complete with Irish Sundaes. Call to reserve your order and Volunteers offer free delivery to businesses, so reserve early or eat at the Center and enjoy the wonderful people.
