The snow is behind us, but without the help of our Mayor Paul Helenberg, many businesses could not have opened last week. Business owners and citizens have reported seeing him buzzing about town and personally removing the snow in our large parking areas. Hats off to you, Mayor.
On that positive note, let us welcome a new business at 211 Front Ave. SW next to our attorney, Chris Roubicek. MASSAGE THERAPY is a wonderful Mother - Daughter team of Christina Jackson (Strain) and Tammy Wasson, who both grew up here in Castle Rock and live here now. They will be offering specials for the community to sample all of their treatments and relaxation techniques. They are by appointment, so give them a call. The telephone number is (360) 751-6328 for Christina and (360) 751-4366 for Tammy. Tammy has been a massage therapist for 10 years, and Christina for one year. Watch for their specials in the Town Crier soon.
The SENIOR CENTER, which is located right behind CITY HALL, is bustling with activities and fun. Some don’t realize that activities are open to those a little younger than Senior age too, and $5 buys you a LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP. Donations are always welcome and tax deductible.
Activities include lunches and potlucks, exercise, pool and Bingo, and we will be highlighting those activities and more in coming issues, as well as some of the special people that you are able to meet on any day you visit. Volunteers keep this wonderful place humming, so stop in and have a refreshment. It’s a friendly place, and we will try to encourage your visits with interesting information about events and notables that we meet while visiting.
Don’t forget to visit the Exhibit Hall this month with the Quilt Show on exhibit till Feb. 28. Hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
Till next week - Enjoy Castle Rock.
