The Castle Rock Race Park will be one of the stops along the King of the West Dwarf Car Series, with a car show and races taking place Friday and Saturday.
Modeled to look like classic cars from the 1930s, these mini racers are powered by motorcycle engines and are known to attain speeds upwards of 80 miles per hour. Those looking for a speed fix can watch the cars warm up starting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday with the race taking place starting at 7 p.m. and ending around 11 p.m.
The race will be one of sevaral in a series that starts in Skagit County and ends in Elma, Ore., with racers from as far as Canada and California racing for a $5,000 purse.

The Castle Rock Race Park is operated by the Mt. St. Helens Motorcycle club, with regular gatherings taking place regularly on or around the weekends during the summer.
