Castle Rock gearing up for Speed Week this Wed.-Sat.

The Mt. St. Helens Motorcycle Club will be hosting Speed Week at the Castle Rock Race Park this Wednesday through Saturday, culminating in an AMA Grand National TT race.

Featuring events for spectators and riders alike, this event is expected to bring more than 10,000 people from across the country into town and will feature multiple races throughout the week.

On Wednesday and Thursday, classes will be offered for riders, while races begin at the short track at 7 p.m. both days. Admission for these days will be $15 for adults, $35 for families and $10 for students and seniors.

Friday will feature Pro Twins Night with Open Pro Singles, featuring trophy classes in Open Amateur, Plus 30 and 85CC, with races to begin at 7:45 p.m. Admission will be $20 for adults, $45 for families and $15 for students and seniors.

Then, on Saturday, the Grand National TT race will begin at 7 p.m. with races for Pro Experts and Pro Singles, while paddocks will be open at 5:30 p.m. for spectators to look around and event ask for autographs.

Admission is $40 for all spectators, though you can get $10 off if you bring your stuff from the GNC race in Elma.

A beer garden will also be open all four days, though you must be at least 21 years old to enter.
