The Bernie Sanders campaign has begun to pick up more momentum having won 5 out of the 6 western states in landslide victories. In Alaska, Sanders won 81.9% of the vote while picking up 13 of the 16 delegates. 69.8% of Hawaiian Democrats went for Sanders who earned 17 of the 25 delegates from the islands. Washington was one of the largest states left in the primary season still to vote with 101 delegates up for grabs. In perhaps the biggest victory so far for the senator, he won 72.7% of the Washingtonian vote, earning so far 25 delegates and his opponent Hillary Clinton winning 8. The rest of the delegates will be hashed out over the next weeks as the party releases margins by congressional district. Hillary Clinton did not win a single county in Washington, with the closest vote count being 3-2 in Garfield County. In Lewis County, Bernie Sanders was voted for by 166 voters and Clinton got 36 and two voters were uncommitted. The next Democratic primary is in the state of Wisconsin on April 5th.
