The duo has been charming hearts across the country and abroad for the last seven years, bringing guitar, mandolin, harmonica, banjo, and outstanding singing and songwriting to those lucky enough to be able to catch a show.

The duo’s appearance at the Raymond Theatre will be sponsored by Alliance for a Better Community, which recently voted to cover the entire costs of the show so that theatre goers will be able to attend for free, waiving the customary $12 door charge for the concert. The Raymond Theatre Concert will take place on Sunday, July 27th, at 2 PM.

The duo will also be performing at the Pitchwood Alehouse on Friday, July 25th at 8 PM.

Sweet Wednesday’s songwriting awards include first place in the Great American Song Contest and first place in the Dallas Song Contest. From humorous story-songs like “(Lisa, I’m Sorry I Brought You to) New York City” to beautiful melodic pieces like “Desert Flowers on Route 66” and “Days Grow Long”, the duo (consisting of singer/songwriters Lisa Housman and Dave Falk) explores human relationships and the geography of the countries they have traveled in with an uncommon ear for poetry and details. Several recent songs have been inspired by the couple’s two year old daughter “tour manager” Jasmine, who accompanies the couple on tour.

The duo has been featured on over 100 radio and television stations, and has toured in the U.S., Belgium, Holland, England, and Ireland.
