Art Scholarship, Poster Contest, People’s Choice Photo Show

The foundation will award a college scholarship of up to $500 for the 2014-2015 school year.

If you are a senior currently enrolled at Naselle-Grays River, Willapa Valley, Ilwaco, South Bend, or Raymond High School and will be enrolling in a higher education art program in the fall, you are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Applications must include your senior packet; a portfolio of visual art work; a record of performance art and/or an audition performance. Applications need to be sent to the Willapa Heritage Foundation, P.O. Box 401, South Bend, Washington 98586.  Deadline for applications is July 1, 2014.

We are also sponsoring a poster contest for students at Willapa Valley, South Bend and Raymond High Schools for our annual fundraising auction. Entries will be due to the foundation on or before June 1, 2014. The winning design will be awarded a $50 prize and the poster will be used in advertising, on our invitations and the program for our annual “Hearts for the Arts” auction. And once again, the Willapa Heritage Foundation will be holding the People’s Choice Photo Show this summer.  It will be held during the Willapa Days celebration in Raymond beginning August 2, 2014. Watch for more detailed information about the photo show on our website beginning the first of June. Students as well as adults are all invited to participate.
