Easter egg hunts in the local area
Easter egg hunts in the local area

This is the weekend where many of our communities have Easter egg Hunts for the kids. Whether you live in Winlock, Toledo or Vader, they are here to light up your April 16 Saturday morning. This is a fun event on a Saturday morning just to watch.

Winlock Mens Club has been putting on the Winlock Easter Egg Hunt for years, 57 to be eggs-act. About a dozen men get together every year to plan what is a fun-filled event for everyone to share in.

Long Beach announces 2022 festivals during the 100 Day Centennial Celebration

LONG BEACH - The Long Beach Merchants Association (LBMA) will present a crowd-pleasing line up of festivals for 2022. Included among them are a series of downtown events during the city's 100 Day Centennial Celebration, which was conceived and organized by the LBMA.

"We've spent countless hours planning and are excited to be presenting the 100 days of celebration in honor of our city's centennial so that residents and visitors alike can join in this milestone," said Karla Jensen, president, Long Beach Merchants Association.

Valley's Strozyk plans to attend UMW on a double scholarship for CC, T&F

MENLO - As a result of hard work and dedication, Willapa Valley HS senior Brooklynn Strozyk has earned herself a double scholarship for cross country and track and field to attend the University of Montana Western, located in Dillon, Montana.

"I chose the University of Montana Western because I loved the atmosphere and all the opportunities for my future career," Strozyk told the Herald. "It has all the benefits of a small town and has an up and coming running program."
