Commissioner Dr. Lindsey Pollock sent a letter to the Washington State Secretary of Health. The letter is to encourage Dr. Shah to trust the public in managing a path forward regarding masks and COVID.
Recently, many of the local students have protested the mask mandate. As many other states remove their mask mandate, our state will not know what is next for our kids.
On Monday, February 7 Rep. Jim Walsh, and students from South Bend and Willapa Valley High Schools took a stand against mandatory masks in schools. The kids were protesting mask mandates asking that wearing a mask should be an option rather than a requirement.
The Willapa Harbor Clinic welcomes a new doctor to its staff. Jack Hamson, MD specializes in internal medicine and brings another care option to the local area.
An internist has experience in managing most medical problems and traditionally focuses on adult primary care. It is one of the career fields that many hospital doctors follow. Dr. Hamson graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in 2016. "I completed residency training in New York City in 2020," said Hamson. "After residency, I practiced hospital medicine in Eugene and Portland, Oregon."
