Goodbye Town Crier; Hello Lewis County News

As many things are changing all around us, we at Flannery Publications decided it was time for a change for the Town Crier. For over a decade you have seen the Town Crier delivered in your mailboxes, but that's about to change. Starting next week, you will see the Lewis County News delivered weekly.

The Lewis County News is a name recognized by many. As the Editor of the Town Crier, I did not feel it represented the true meaning of what I wanted the newspaper to be. Yes, we are a community newspaper but community here means the entire county. I wanted something that would represent news in the county, thus the easiest thing to do was bring back The Lewis County News.

It's that time of year, it's back to school time for many students in our area. With back to school comes the expense of school supplies for many families, yet many families in our area cannot afford all the supplies needed. With this in mind, two businesses in Winlock have started "2019 Winlock Schools Supply Drive."

Landslide puts a halt on the new Yellow Deli

The Yellow Deli project in South Bend has been put on hold after an unexpected landslide plummeted into the rear of the building and outlying parking lot. The deli was working to remove a toe at the bottom of the slope to give an incoming building more room.
