City of Winlock Police Department has hired a second officer, Officer Curt Flatray has joined Chief Valentine in the Winlock Police Department.

Toledo athletic director Grady Fallon

Grady Fallon has worked for the Toledo School District for quite some time now, hopping from one school to another. I interviewed Fallon about himself, and his job as an athletic director.

Fallon was born in Juneau, Alaska and moved to Portland, Oregon when he was only two years old. Fallon commented, "I finally ended up in Toledo when I was four, and I started Kindergarten in the little red house at the elementary school." He stayed at Toledo K-12.

Teen survives nasty rollover on SR 6
Teen survives nasty rollover on SR 6

On Thursday, October 11 a female 17-year-old Pacific County teen was involved in a rollover accident on SR 6 just outside Menlo. The crash closed the road for around an hour while the scene was cleared and the Washington State Patrol conducted an investigation.

Timberland could reopen South Bend Library with stipulations

The South Bend Library is reeling in new hope after the Washington Department of L&I report findings were released. The library has been closed since August with very little known about the reasoning. Hitting residents even harder was the proposal from Timberland Regional Library to close several libraries to cost cut, something not working out to well.

Triplett, Bryant, Woodruff receive top honors at State Fair

Participating at the Washington State 4-H Fair in Puyallup is both an honor and a privilege for 4-H youth. The State Fair provides an opportunity for members to demonstrate knowledge and mastery in their specific project areas. Pacific County 4-H was well represented this year when youth who excelled with their projects at the Pacific County Fair qualified to showcase their skills alongside other 4-H members from across the state.
