The Raymond Theater is showing The Star: The Story Of The First Christmas movie on Friday, Dec. 15 at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 16 at 11:00 a.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 17 at 1:00 p.m. This showing is sponsored by the Lebam Community Church and admission is free.

It was an exciting evening in Winlock on Saturday evening, every law enforcement agency was here for what appeared to be a pipe bomb. The lighting of the community Christmas Tree was cancelled and Kerron Street was blocked off.

Isabel Langhaim will be Clara in the Nutcracker playing at the Corbett Theatre in Centralia this coming weekend. Isabel is a Sophmore at Toledo high school and she has been involved in ballet for 3 years.

Pacific County Sheriff's Office asked for assistance from Lewis County Sheriff's Office in a large marijuana grow raid in Grayland where two individuals were arrested. From that arrest, in information obtained from those individuals and from a cell phone mapping app found on one of the phones, it was revealed that there was an illegal grow operating at 725 B Street in Vader. 725 B Street in Vader is in a dense neighborhood, directly across from City Hall. There are homes both across the street, beside the home and behind the home.

Crab Season still delayed, but Season is promising

Crabs are no longer too small according to the latest Washington Department Fish and Wildlife testing conducted earlier this week, but the season will still remain closed.

Local first responders rescue driver trapped down embankment

On Dec. 7 a 2000 Honda CRZ driven by 29 year old Cosmopolis resident Brenton Keller was traveling southbound on Highway 101 when his vehicle lost control, crossed the centerline, and crashed according to the Washington State Patrol. The vehicle crashed down an embankment and struck a tree according to the Raymond Fire Department.
