Manager of Hoquiam wood shavings business convicted on multiple felony counts

Aberdeen man Willis D. Lonn, Jr., 68, has been convicted as of Wednesday, Oct. 5 in federal court at Tacoma on nine counts of mail fraud, two counts of income tax evasion, one count of money laundering conspiracy, and one count of interstate transportation of stolen property. It took the jury two hours to consider and return with guilty verdicts. U.S. District Judge Benjamin H. Settle scheduled the sentencing for January 9 of next year.

Toledo used almost every weapon available in this 56-14 division win over the Mossyrock Vikings. 11 players contributed to the 480 total yards of offense for the night. Dakota Robins paced Toledo with three touchdowns on just eight touches, while Dylan Hoiseck added two scores (one by air, one by ground), and Dalton Yoder, Keyton Wallace and Ethan Buck all added a rushing touchdown apiece.

City discusison of interfund theatre loan criticized by police, fire

A discussion was held at the Raymond City Council meeting on Monday, Oct. 3, in regard to an interfund loan that the city is considering. The loan would subsidize the theatre from the general fund since the theatre is in debt $12,000.
