Franey Trial may be pushed back until December

The Montesano man accused of supporting ISIS may have his trial pushed back to December. A motion to continue the current date was filed on April 18 was filed by the federal public defenders of the case. The motion was filed on March 16. The motion asks that the new date of the trial be continued sometime before December of 2016. The additional time will give the defense on the case more time to review evidence.

High-Powered United takes out Stevenson

United pressured Stevenson early and often in a 9-1 league win in Toledo on Tuesday March 29. United was led by the hat trick performance from Adair Garibay and from freshman midfielder Gustavo Barragan. Barragan had two goals and two assists as did freshman Andreas Malunat. Garibay and Barragan have become a very deadly combination for the United squad, being the top scorers on the team as well as great assisters.

Mora sentenced for school burglary

SOUTH BEND - Joel Mora, 18, of South Bend pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree burglary and was sentenced to 1 year and 5 months in prison. The action took place in Pacific County Superior Court Friday afternoon.

Public Market Allowed 6-Month Term

The Raymond City Council met on Monday, April 4 for the regular bi-monthly meeting. The council had a full audience, as every seat was filled in the public section. The council members voted to cancel the executive session for the current meeting before approving the minutes of the previous meeting.
