Veterans Day has gone through several changes in its history. From the end of World War I Armistice Day was started as a day of remembrance for the war to end all wars. As World War II broke out, Congress made changes to the annual event, and through its course it even became a floating holiday for a short period in the 1970's, to help boost the economy, as well as honor veterans.

For some just getting out of bed is a task, while others enjoy a brisk autumn walk, or even a jog. But if you really want to test yourself, it is not a marathon that you should seek, become a Spartan and really test your strength.
Our family would like to say thank you to the hundreds of people that have reached out to us with the recent death of my wife and her battle with cancer she lost.

ABERDEEN - Stewart Field in Aberdeen is about to get real busy and with Raymond's win over Central 2B Morton-White Pass, 30-0, in a District IV crossover game, they will make a return trip this Saturday to face La Conner (8-2) of the Northwest League in the first round of the District IV 2B football sacchariferous sixteen. Kickoff is set for 4 pm.
Taking a third-place Central 2B league finish (7-2), the team that some thought would have a hard time even getting through the year based on everything that they had to do to even start the season; have taken another step and entered into post season play with their 36-0 win over Pacific League 2B Rainier Mountaineers (6-3) in a District IV cross-over game held in at one of the two home stadiums of the Titans.

Coal samples look good
Egan and Feliz Balcunas were in from their farm on Mill creek yesterday. They had with them samples of an excellent quality of coal which was recently discovered on their place. The vein unearthed is seven and a half feet in thickness, and they have now tunneled into the big hill in which the coal was discovered to a depth of 80 feet, and find the vein maintaining its size while the quality of the coal naturally increases.
