A burglary took place at Pioneer Grocery in South Bend over the weekend when two juveniles forced the back door to the store open. The burglars used a hatchet and a tire iron to force the door open. Once inside, the juvenile burglars cut surveillance lines to the cameras, forced open the safe and took upwards of $2,000.

Raymond Mayor Bob Jungar has thrown his last gavel at Monday night's Raymond City Council meeting. Jungar, who penned his resignation to be effective as of Oct. 15, sat for his final city council meeting, which lasted about 20 minutes, but his assignments are not finished.

For recreational marijuana retail outlets "opening soon" can be anywhere from a week to a month. And hopefully for the latest addition to the recreational retail market Mr. Doobees will have a short wait before opening their doors in the city of Raymond.
South Bend whipped North Beach in three games, 25-20, 25-8, 25-19, last Tuesday (Sept. 30) at Koplitz Fieldhouse.
South Bend's Ryan Overstake broke the school record for rushing yards in a game with 245 yards on 19 carries. The record was previously held by Ray Lorton, who ran for 228 yards way back on October 14, 1967 against Wahkiakum. The Indians pummeled their homecoming opponent, Ocosta, 47-20, Friday night at Millam Field.
