Coburn recovering from cancer; thankful to community

LEBAM - Kimmi Coburn, daughter of Steve and Becky Coburn of Lebam, is recovering from surgery April 30, which removed two cancerous tumors from her kidney and her left adrenal gland, where she had Cushing Syndrome. She is being treated at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis.

Local schools with low test scores/graduation rates identified for financial support in 2014-15

Earlier this month the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) released a list of high-need schools in Washington State. State Superintendent Randy Dorn has pledged to allocate resources to schools that meet the criteria of being under-performing.
