COSMOPOLIS – The girls of the Willapa Harbor golf team played the Highlands golf course for the District IV sub-district tournament. Advancing to districts, Emma Lorton of South Bend and Emily Fluke of Willapa Valley, will take their season for another round.

NASELLE – The Pacific League held their sub-district track and field event last Wednesday and Friday in Naselle and the Raymond boys ran away with overall first place in the seven-school competition.

Willapa Harbor Baseball Little League Highlights

May 7, Dennis Company 5, Brumfield 3

The visitors, Brumfield Construction, scored one run in the first inning on four walks.  Mason Crawford scored in the bottom of the first for Dennis Company. Cole Hatton smacked a two run home run in the second to put Brumfield ahead 3-1.  Dennis Company got one run back in the third, with singles by Kyle Strozyk, Ryan Jenkins and Alek Samplawski.  Dennis Company picked up 3 more in the fifth on Crawford's triple and singles by Samplawski and Carter Pearson and three walks.  Relief pitcher, Luke Gerow pitched well, picking up 15 strikeouts!
