Raymond High School junior Aiysha Garcia tries to convince Raymond Police Chief and South Bend School Board Member Chuck Spoor that her team's product is superior and deserves investing at last week's Sixth Annual Willapa Harbor Washington Business Week, which was held throughout downtown Raymond. Juniors from all three local high schools gathered for the week to learn about the business world.

Hodel leads wins over North Beach

Willapa Valley's girls nosed by host North Beach by two points at a four-team track and field competition last Thursday at Oyehut. The Vikings won with 97 points. Mary M. Knight was third with 17, and Taholah scored a mere 6 points.

Seagulls blow out field at home meet; Lady Gulls also vicitorious

Raymond routed the oppostion in the boys' portion of the Seagulls' home track and field meet last Thursday. The Gulls scored 254 to easily outdistance second-place Ocosta's output of 87. Rounding out the field were Wishkah Valley (64), South Bend (53), Naselle (51), North River (2).
