A $500 scholarship will be awarded by the Pacific County Anglers to a north Pacific County high school (North River, Raymond, South Bend, or Willapa Valley) graduate entering college this coming fall.
Eight Willapa Valley FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) members were in Wenatchee on March 24-26 for the state FCCLA leadership conference.

After 11 years of work we finally got the Timber Programs Combination bill (SB 6180) passed.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Friday, the federal delegation representing Snohomish County released the following statement after President Obama approved Washington Governor Jay Inslee’s request to expand federal aid for response efforts related to Saturday’s mudslide in Oso, Washington. The delegation includes U.S. Senators Patty Murray (D-WA) and Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and U.S. Representatives Suzan DelBene (WA-01), Rick Larsen (WA-02), and Jim McDermott (WA-07).
