The Weyerhaeuser Company will conduct its Third Annual Diaper Drive March 5th through 26th. During the drive, Weyerhaeuser facilities compete against each other to see who can collect the most diapers per employee. The winning facility is given $5,000 to donate to a local charity of its choice.

Willapa Valley swept the top two honors in the Pacific League as Matt Bannish was named Coach of the Year and Karli Friese was named Most Valuable Player.

Willapa Valley HS Head Boys' Basketball Coach John Peterson was named co-Coach of the Year for the Pacific League along with Larry Moore of North Beach, by a vote of coaches. Gabe Hernandez of North Beach, a junior, was named the league's Most Valuable Player.
