SOUTH BEND – For Avis Drucilla Miller, March 7, will be her birthday. With a reception the following day, Miss Miller will be 100 years old.

Overflow crowd at art auction

The Willapa Heritage Foundation greeted an overflow crowd at the 19th Annual Hearts for the Arts Auction, Saturday, February 15th at the Willapa Community Center.  As guests entered they were treated to a free glass of wine while keeping with the Italian theme of this year’s event, “That’s Amore on the Willapa”.

Public Hearing on pot ordinance March 13th

In accordance with Chapter 65.16 RCW, Pacific County is publishing a summary of amendment to Ordinance No. 162 relating to land use zoning regulations within Pacific County. This amendment will establish regulations for the production, processing and selling of marijuana. The full text will be mailed without charge upon request. A special public hearing to consider the proposed ordinance amendment is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13, 2014 at 10 a.m., or soon thereafter, in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room of the Courthouse Annex Building, 1216 W. Robert Bush Drive in South Bend.
