This year has whizzed by and it is Christmas once again. It is the time of year when my mind goes back to memories of Christmases past – times with friends and family. Those memories show me how people and things have changed. I, for one have also changed.

A number of local marijuana retailers have been named by the State Liquor Control Board (LCB) in the most recent list of recreational marijuana applicants released Dec. 24, four days after the deadline to apply for the growth, processing or sale of legalized pot.
While most are located in urban areas (an entire dozen in Longview alone) some businesses have applied for marijuana stores near our readers.
Raymond High School announced its award recipients from the Fall Sports Banquet.
