There’s no question among local home orchardists, that our climate is ideal for pear production. In Washington state, pears are the third most valuable tree fruit crop behind apples and sweet cherries and the tenth most valuable agricultural commodity overall.
Less than one month before the Affordable Care Act’s open enrollment for uninsured folks (Yes, something brand new!) on October 1. And let’s not forget our old friend Medicare Part D, and that open enrollment starting October 15th.
Blake Andrew Ritzman passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2013 at the Harborview Medical Center, after attending his first and long anticipated Husky football game at the new Husky stadium. He was surrounded by all those who loved him deeply.
