PUD Tokeland Extension Article Not Needed

To the Editor:

The front page article, "Does PUD'S Tokeland extension project follow Washington law?" failed to recognize the fact that Pacific County PUD No. 2 was established as a countywide district and Tokeland and North Cove are within the boundaries of Pacific County.

Revamped Harbor Festival opens Friday

“This is going to be off the hook,” exclaimed Chairman Doug Hamilton. These words have been far from applicable to our familiar Willapa Harbor Festival in the past. However, when this year’s eager and diligent leading crew of Doug Hamilton, Michelle Layman, and Kaylee Hanson took the reigns, it quickly became clear that this year’s festival would in fact be “off the hook”! It seems, as though just about everyone will be involved one way or another.

McDonald’s to get a fresh look

By KAYLA CAMENZIND

McDonald’s in Raymond will be undergoing renovations starting sometime in August, according to owner Julianne Hanner. The restaurant, which is over 20 years old, will be updated to fit with McDonald’s national campaign of giving its restaurants a new, fresh look.
