Accusations of more misuse by PUD employees were brought up at the May 7 meeting, including running a gun business on a company cell phone, using a pile driver for personal use to build a deck, employees being a boss being treated for anger management, and the misuse of a man-lift. Addressing the PUD hierarchy at the meeting were Tim Pettit, Steve Sheary, Catherine Jones and Pat Myers.
The 13th annual local fight against cancer, better known as the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Willapa Bay takes place Friday and Saturday at the Raymond High School track and field facility.

The Raymond Schools Foundation sponsored six Honor Roll Awards to graduating seniors of Raymond High School. The Honor Roll Award was established to encourage students to work diligently toward academic excellence. During Class Day, Valedictorian Kira Dunsmoor, Salutatorian Josh Camenzind, Abby Maneman, Stephanie Holland, Courtney Hagain and Carte Bisbee were each presented with a cash award. These six students were rewarded for being on Honor Roll every semester from grades 9-12.
During the Raymond High School 2013 graduation ceremony, four scholarships managed by the Raymond Schools Foundation were presented.
Raymond High School Art Students had the pleasure of spending the day learning a fine craft of hand made book binding on May 31.
My June column has traditionally focused on tips for “succulent living” and enjoying life to its fullest, whether you are 58 or 98. This month I will continue that tradition as we celebrate the Summer Solstice.

The Willapa Seaport Museum will host a public dedication of the FV Vansee wheelhouse tonight at 6:30. Museum Director Pete Darrah is inviting the public to bring their family and friends to come on in and see three new exhibits, take a chance to win a unique Norwegian hardanger (an intricate form of embroidery) table runner that was donated by fabric artist Virginia Wallace, and also listen to some live music.
