Local entrepreneurs Patrick Myers and his wife Alisa jumped at the opportunity when the Willapa Pizza Factory went up for sale. While watching the struggling economy and seeing many eateries close in the area but recognizing the need for a high end sit down restaurant in Raymond, they were excited for the chance to offer a new and different dining experience to the locals.

Chamber Invites Community Input

The Willapa Harbor Chamber of Commerce will conduct three work sessions on its regular meetings dates of May 13, June 10 and July 8. These meetings are part of a strategic planning process that the Chamber is working on at this time.  Chamber president Mike Morris would like to invite the public to these workshops in an effort to get as much input as possible from the community.

2013 “Waters to Watch” List Highlights Variety of Conservation Challenges

The National Fish Habitat Partnership (www.fishhabitat.org) has unveiled its 10 “Waters to Watch” list for 2013, a collection of rivers, streams, estuaries, watershed systems and lakes that will benefit from strategic conservation efforts to protect, restore or enhance their current condition. These waters represent a snapshot of this year’s voluntary habitat conservation efforts in progress. These and other locally driven conservation projects are prioritized and implemented by regional Fish Habitat Partnerships that have formed throughout the country.

4-H Shooting Sports Team Competes at State

Six Pacific County 4-H members represented Pacific county at the Washington State Shooting Sports Championships in Eatonville. This year the team went well equipped and filled with enthusiasm thanks to the support of the community.
