Evelyn Sue Schooley passed away peacefully Wednesday morning February 13, 2013 with her husband Jim at her side. She was born Evelyn Sue Pea to Lester and Marie (Badgley) Pea on June 9, 1949 in South Bend, Wash.

Indians beat Hyaks, clobbered by Toutle Lake

Myranda Curtis canned the winning shot and fired in 23 points to keep South Bend alive at the District IV Girls’ Basketball Tournament last Tuesday night (Feb. 12) at Montesano. Curtis drained a baseline J with 12 seconds to play to five the Lady Indians a 52-50 win over North Beach in the loser-out game. The Lady Hyaks missed a trey at the buzzer that hit the front of the rim.

Toutle Lake trounces Lady Vikes

Willapa Valley’s basketball season came to a sudden stop at the hands of Toutle Lake 67-40 at the District IV Girls’ Basketball Tournament last Tuesday (Feb. 12) at Montesano. Karli Friese scored 15 points for Valley.
