A 31-year-old Aberdeen teacher is in jail for allegedly dealing child pornography, the Elma Police Department reported.
Police arrested the teacher on Friday, Sept. 2, and he was booked into jail on suspicion of dealing and possessing child pornography.
The teacher has been placed on administrative leave and instructed not to have contact with students or employees of the Aberdeen School District. The man's name has been removed from the school district's website.
Officers seized multiple computers and hard drives from the suspect's home, and the man remains booked in the Grays Harbor County Jail.
A press release from the Elma Police Department stated that officers executed a search warrant on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the teacher's home in the 600 block of North Second Street in Elma after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
