German Armies Threaten France
Tuesday, August 4, 1914
London, Aug 3- Three German armies, including 22 corps and nearly 1,000,000 strong, were advancing on France today.
One of these armies were marching through Belgium, the second was approaching French territory, spread out in fan like formation from Metz and the third was moving from a point close to the Swiss frontier.

Bomb Shelter Structure to Start Soon
Thursday, August 6, 1964
Work on the National Warning System shelter in Raymond should begin with a few weeks with approval this week by the U.S. Navy Bureau of Yards and Docks of plans. The Navy Bureau has approved plans for a building costing $5,725. It will be built on the corner of 2nd and Commercial streets and will contain about 190 square feet of space.
